Fribergaskolan is a 7-9 school with about 500 students and 70 staff, located centrally in Danderyd near Mörby Centrum. Our operations are well-functioning with very good results and many fine traditions. The school is very popular and has ambitious, pleasant students with engaged parents who provide us with good support in our work. We have a very competent and dedicated staff, as well as good support resources in the form of well-developed student health services and a permanent substitute.

We offer a nice working environment in our newly renovated premises where we have invested a lot in a bright, open learning environment with fresh furniture and technical aids that make creative teaching possible. We are organized in work teams, but sit in subject-specific workrooms where there is an open and collaborative climate.

We are now looking for a teacher in wood and metal craft for a 50% temporary position during the spring term for grades 7-9 at Fribergaskolan. Welcome with your application!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach wood and metal craft in grades 7-9 and work on organizing, planning, and implementing teaching according to the curriculum. The teaching is conducted under your own responsibility and with great freedom. Your tasks include assessing and grading students, which is done with the support of subject colleagues. You will also share responsibility for purchasing materials and maintaining the craft room.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications in wood and metal craft.
• Has experience with written assessments and grading.
• Is well-versed in the school's mission and governing documents.
• Has knowledge of inclusive and accessible learning environments.
• Has a very good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish.

We believe you are collaborative with a selfless focus on the common goal. You are structured and work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. Furthermore, you are stable and maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity. It is also important that you easily empathize with others, listen, understand, and show consideration. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
